What we need
- The policy number from your counterfoil, or the address on the policy
- When it happened, and when you found it
- Photographs before the clean-up, including the wider room or street
- A crime reference where the police were called
- Any invoice for emergency work already done to stop it getting worse
What we do not need
- Three quotes before you ring. Get the water off first.
- An admission of liability to anyone at the scene
