Our status

Kedworth & Quire is authorised and regulated by [regulator], firm reference no. 000000. Registered in England and Wales, company 00000000. Complaints we cannot resolve can be referred to [complaints and redress scheme].

Our service

We are an independent intermediary. We act on your behalf, not the insurer's, and select from a range of insurers across the market. We will tell you before you buy which insurers we approached and why we recommend the policy we do.

How we are paid

We are usually paid a commission by the insurer, which is a percentage of your premium. We tell you the amount before you pay. On some larger risks we charge a fee instead, agreed with you in writing in advance.

Your duty to give accurate information

Answer every question honestly and carefully, and tell us about changes during the year. Incorrect or missing information can mean a claim is reduced or refused, or the policy cancelled.

Paying for your policy

Premiums are paid to us and passed to the insurer. If you pay by instalments through a finance provider, their terms apply to the credit agreement.

Cancellation

Consumer policies can usually be cancelled within 14 days of starting or renewing, with a refund less a charge for the time on cover. After that, the insurer's cancellation terms in the policy wording apply.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, write to the office or ring 01632 960 742. We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to resolve it within eight weeks. If you are still unhappy you may be able to refer it to [complaints and redress scheme].
